Acceptable use

This page is part of the terms of service. It is short because it should be: these are the rules of behaviour on Curcle.

CONTENTS

1. What is not allowed #

IN SHORTThe list is short and none of it is surprising.

1.1Abuse, harassment, or threats toward anyone, on the feed, in a circle, or in casework.

1.2Anything unlawful.

1.3Impersonating another person, an MP, an MP's office, or any public body.

1.4Posting anyone's personal information without their consent.

1.5Automated or coordinated backing designed to manufacture a count. The count is the whole point of Curcle, and faking it breaks the service for everyone.

1.6Commercial advertising.

1.7Content that discriminates against people, or that incites hatred against them, on the basis of who they are.

1.8Deliberate misinformation about local matters.

2. What happens if you break these rules #

IN SHORTContent comes down, accounts can go, and serious matters go to the police.

2.1We may remove the content.

2.2We may suspend your account, or remove it permanently.

2.3Where behaviour appears to be criminal, we may refer it to the police.

2.4How we make these decisions, how we tell you, and how you appeal are set out in section 13 of the terms.
